This home is warm and Vermonty, filled with beautiful white oak, maple, black walnut, pine and cherry. Enjoy the comfy furniture in the great room and solarium while you sip a glass of wine and gaze out towards the Green Mountains of Vermont. The beds and linens are all new and comfy. The bathrooms were all renovated in 2019. Enjoy central AC in the summer and forced air heat in the winter. Two smart TVs are available to guests. High speed Wi-Fi is also included. Full bath on third floor serves two large bedrooms with queens beds and office areas. Full bath on second floor serves two bedrooms with queen beds, one of which also has an en suite half bath. Full bath on first floor serves two bedrooms in the finished basement, one queen and one full. Finished basement includes a massive couch and theatre room area. There is a beautiful family room on the first floor (part of a great room area connected to the kitchen) with a fireplace and a smart tv. After 5 guests, an additional $65 per person, per night.

Use of the indoor fireplaces is prohibited, although the fireplace on the first floor can be used by permission and with an extra fee for insurance. This home is part of a 25-acre complex that includes 3 apartments, a main home, and several outbuildings. The property is monitored by exterior video surveillance. Please be courteous and feel free to introduce yourself if you bump into anyone while here. Everyone is friendly in VT! Please observe quiet time from 10PM until 7AM and please let us know if anyone violates this during your stay.

The property is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. You may access all of the home except for two storage areas that are not depicted or described in the listing. Please be aware, the step up into the home under the breezeway is a little bit higher than a normal step up.

It is unlikley that the owners will be on the property during your stay. The owners are available by phone or email at all times.

This is a beautiful part of Vermont, tucked in between the Green Mountains of Vermont and the Adirondack Mountains of New York. Recreational opportunities are exceptional. Beautiful swimming holes, including a famous one within walking distance on Dog Team Road. Mountains to climb everywhere, from local Snake Mountain to nearby Mt. Abe. Try out the 16 mile Trail Around Middlebury (the TAM) for a wonderful hike around the village. Skiing at Sugarbush and the Middlebury Snow Bowl. Sailing and boating on nearby Lake Champlain. Swimming and water skiing at nearby Lake Dunmore. Middlebury is a vibrant and charming college town filled with great restaurants, art galleries, museums, and of course all that the world-class college itself has to offer. This property is located in close proximity to many Vermont ski resorts such as Sugarbush, Mad River Glen, the Middlebury Snow Bowl, Rikert Nordic Ski Center, Pico, and Killington, among others.

It is a very easy 4.5 mile drive into Middlebury along Route 7. It is also easy to go north on Route 7 to nearby Vergennes, which is filled with wonderful shops and restaurants, or even to Burlington, which is only 30 miles north. If you love water, check out the Basin Harbor Club for a luxurious lakeside resort. Or play 18 at Middlebury College's excellent Ralph Myhre Golf Course.

We have established a framework for rental costs, cleaning fees, and related fees, such as fees for pets, extra guests, early check-ins and late check-outs, and special requests. These are set in advance, and they are not negotiable. We will enthusiastically accommodate all of your requests, assuming that we are able to do so, and we ask that you will respect and honor our cost structure, all of which is covered in this listing.

-Pets are allowed by permission only and require an extra fee that will be charged based on length of stay, type of pet, etc. Standard pet fee is $200 for one animal up to 3 nights. $35 additional for each additional night. Additional fees for additional pets if approved. The host reserves the right to decline requests and to charge additional fees.

-An adult over the age of 27 must reserve the property and be present during the stay.

-Stays of longer than 10 days require additional cleaning fees that will be set by the Host. A weekly cleaning service will be provided to the Guest and the fee will be paid by the Guest. Electric will also be paid by Guest.

-After 5 guests, an additional $65 per person, per night.

-Late check-outs and early check-ins can sometimes be arranged for; an extra fee of 1/2 the cost of one night for up to 4 hours and a full night fee for more than 4 hours. If you think you will need an early check-in or a late check-out, we recommend that you reserve the night before your arrival or the night of your departure to ensure that our housekeepers can accommodate your timing needs.

-Stairs are required to access all bedrooms as well as the home itself. Please be aware, the step up into the home under the breezeway is a little bit higher than a normal step up.

-Use of the indoor fireplaces is prohibited. Guests may use the fireplace on the first floor with permission by paying a fee to cover insurance.

-This rental allows pets by permission only. We clean thoroughly between guests. But if you have a severe pet allergy please be aware that you may be exposed to a small amount of residual allergens.
